Know Your Own Financial Personality, and Let Us Get to Know You

Most investment advisors want clients and prospective clients to understand that managing money is personal and specific to their unique financial situation. At Haley & Summers Wealth Management, we agree -- which is precisely why we strive to develop and maintain open, honest relationships with each and every one of our clients. While there are no black-and-white rules that work 100 percent of the time, we do have some guiding principles that dictate our approach to growing your hard-earned wealth.

Know your own financial personality, and let us get to know you As Registered Investment Advisors, we have a fiduciary responsibility to get to know our clients.  As good investors and stewards of your money, we would have it no other way.

Few things trip up investors more than allowing emotions -- and fear, in particular -- to derail someone's investment plans. We understand that fear of the unknown is a very real thing (hey, we're human, too!), but our role is to make sound decisions based on past market cycles/corrections and current projections.

Negative events and trends can test convictions and inspire impulsive decisions, but we encourage our clients not to fall into that trap. Instead, we rely on our knowledge of the financial landscape, even through its ups and downs, to mitigate short-term thinking.

It's important to understand your own financial tendencies, but here at Haley & Summers, we don't give a lot of quizzes. Over the years, we've come to realize that most people say one thing when markets are good and quite another when they are bad. This coincides with our belief that you don’t learn much about yourself trading “fake” money accounts. Without “skin in the game” and the risks associated with losing real money, people behave quite differently.

Fortunately, we understand that relationships are an important part of wealth management. Over time, most of our clients become good friends, and our best relationships usually produce excellent returns along the way. The better we know you, the more we can help you create the financial future you envision.
